About "Back America"

The purpose of this web site is to provide people with a list of politicians that have been in office for far too long. We want to get these corrupt and malingering politician's out of office. These are the Senators and Congressmen that have not been working for the people, but making themselves rich. It's time to stop thinking of yourself as a Demorcate or Republican but as an American, and vote them out.

We want to target all Senators who have more then 3 terms (18 years) in office and all Congressmen with more then 8 terms (16 years). If a person chose to have a career in politics and followed this plan, in all that would be 34 years of political service as a Congressman and Senator, a pretty nice career, and if they happen to become President, that could be 8 more years for a total of 42 years. Please tell me why would they need to stay any longer?

Back America believes in 4 principals:

  1. Govern by the Constitution
  2. Smaller Government
  3. Less spending
  4. Lower taxes
And this Government has proved it does not believe in these values anymore.

Starting in 1913 with the 16th and 17th Amendments, this Government has been gaining more and more power over its people. The Congress and Senate are no longer servants to the people, the people are now the servants, they take these seats as though they are Royalty, and everything they have they are owed. This gave them the power to raise Taxes, and manipulate the system and the people.

In 1951 the Congress and Senate voted to Amend the Constitution again, this time to set term limits on the President, but didn't set term limits on themselves, but every few years they vote themselves a pay raise, do they really deserve this?

This is not targeting Republicans or Demorcates, we are going after both parties. There is only one reason they want to stay any longer, and that is to make themselves rich. We want to get rid of the politicians and get some real Statesmen back in office to serve the people and this country once more.

From 1789 to 1855, members of Congress received only a per diem (daily payment) of $6.00 while in session, except for a period from December 1815 to March 1817, when they received $1,500 a year. Members began receiving an annual salary in 1855, when they were paid $3,000 per year.

The current salary for members of the House and Senate is $174,000 per year.
Leaders of the House and Senate are paid a higher salary.
